Indian students must register and complete the Campus France process (also called CEF) through the Campus France India office before applying for a visa. This is mandatory.
English programs: IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+. French programs: DELF/DALF B2–C1. Prepare transcripts, SOP, CV, LORs, and passport.
Apply directly to universities or Grandes Écoles. Public university application portal: Parcoursup (for undergrad in France). Master's: Apply directly or via MonMaster.
Once admitted, finalise your Campus France dossier. Attend an interview at the Campus France India office. Obtain your Campus France number.
Apply for a long-stay student visa (VLS-TS) via the French Embassy/VFS with Campus France approval, admission letter, proof of funds (€615/month), and accommodation proof.
