Prepare Your Application

For UG: UCAS personal statement (up to 5 choices). For PG: Individual university applications with SOP, CV, LORs, and academic transcripts.

Language Requirements

IELTS Academic: 6.5–7.5 (varies by university and program). PTE or TOEFL also accepted. Oxbridge and elite universities require higher scores.

Receive Offer (CAS Number)

On conditional/unconditional offer, meet conditions. For visa: you'll receive a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) number from your university.

Apply for Student Visa (Tier 4)

Apply for a UK Student Visa online. Biometrics at VFS/UKVI centre in India. Submit CAS, IELTS, financial documents (28-day bank statement). Apply from 3–6 months before start.

Pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) upfront (£776/year for students). Show sufficient funds: £1,334/month in London, £1,023/month outside London, for up to 9 months.

All student visa applicants must pay IHS (£776/year) upfront as part of the visa application. This grants full access to the NHS during your studies.

After graduation, eligible students can apply for the Graduate Route Visa — 2 years for Bachelor's and Master's graduates, 3 years for PhD. Work in any job at any level during this period.
